Fundraising Update.

As you will see below, in the management update, we are still wanting all members to donate to our large raffle. It will be sold externally, we will be asking some members to take a booklet to sell tickets to family, friends, work mates. Tickets will only be $5.00 and if we can have a donation from all members there will be a prize pool of over $3000. With a profit of $5000.

Thank you to those of you, who have already donated. Unfortunately any donation of alcohol, we are unable to raffle (NZ Gaming Laws), but we were able to use some of the donations as an alternative to a cash prize for the lucky winners of the Short Course Challenge. And those donations still count

Vouchers would be the ideal donation or cash. We are only asking for a small contribution from each member to ultimately benefit the whole club.

On the fundraising subject, we would love input from members, some new and "outside the box" ideas are welcome. We are going to put together a Social/Fundraising Committee and would like a representative from every sector of our club. This will not involve any lengthy meetings or paperwork but instead be a way for everyone to share some ideas with the goal being to have our club thriving now and into the future. There are some posters around the clubhouse with a QR code, which can be scanned, there are 6 short question, only yes or no answers required. Alternatively scan the QR code below. Each month we'd like to shine a spotlight on one of the businesses that helps make Pleasant Point Golf Club what it is. Our sponsors play a vital role in supporting the club, our members, and the events we enjoy throughout the year.

This month we'd like to recognise one of our valued sponsors, The Content Crafter, owned by Karen Low.

Karen is more than just a sponsor – she's also the mum of one of our junior members, (Charlotte, who is doing the club proud with her achievements in golf). Karen has generously shared her time, skills and enthusiasm to help our club grow.

Since coming on board, Karen has given our website a much-needed refresh, improved and updated its content, established our Facebook Business Page, designed eye-catching promotional posters, and helped increase our online presence and community engagement. Her expertise in digital marketing has played a significant role in helping Pleasant Point Golf Club reach a wider audience and showcase everything our club has to offer.

Karen also volunteered her time to support our popular Chip 'n Sip sessions, demonstrating her commitment to making our club welcoming and enjoyable for members and newcomers alike.

Management Update.

From our Vice President. Management monthly meeting was held recently. Membership is remaining static, while green fees players have increased, showing the advantage of having a service manager. Financially the club is stable but we do need to further support our service manager with developing club activities and utilisation of our great facilities. The course is holding up well, with some maintenance on mowers having been completed. We recently renewed our insurance, with a requirement for carts stored, to be charged only during the daylight hours. We are currently clarifying the reciprocal rights agreements with Gleniti and Temuka to ensure we are all on the same page. We had two demonstration robotic mowers on the course for a few weeks. We are not looking to purchase at present but will consider in the future when the current equipment reaches end of life. Please note we are still keen for ALL members to contribute to our large raffle, in the form of a voucher or grocery item. This raffle will be sold externally. The raffle is one of the initiatives to ensure that we will not need to increase subscriptions dramatically. Any management concerns, please contact me directly.
