SPONSORSHIP
At a recent Sponsorship meeting comprising Ali, Rachel and Colin it was decided to give four sponsors a plug every month to highlight the esteem we hold for their contributions.
We also decided that we would endeavour to increase our sponsors by 10% instead of raising our sponsorship fees. So if you know anyone who might be interested let me know.
If possible please use them and state that you are supporting them because they support your Golf Club.
The 4 sponsors this month are Menzies, Barrett Joinery, Centra Motors and Betts.
MENZIES: They deliver domestic commercial and industrial services for plumbing, engineering, roofing, drainlaying and gasfitting throughout South Canterbury.
They have committed at least $1500 worth of services to the Club each year for the next 5 years. For example they provide machinery, lay shingle, carry out earthworks and are going to put ventilation openings in the cart shed creating big savings for the Club. A very handy sponsor to have.
BARRETT JOINERY: When you look around the Clubrooms you see a new bar, a very smart looking trophy cabinet, new tops for the tables, all this and more is the work of Macca who does the work using Barrett's $500 worth of materials. They have done this for many years and are still contributing. Their showroom is very nice.
CENTRA MOTORS: They have the agency for Hyundai, Isuzu and Mitsubishi and are longtime sponsors. They contribute $500 each year and also pay out $100 to a member who aces on a competition day. We usually get at least a couple of hole in ones each year so their contribution is significant. They give great service.
BETTS FUNERAL SERVICES: A well established third generation service who have been with us for three years. They contribute $2000 to support the Club and have naming rights to our January Teams Tournament. Julian is only too pleased to talk to you about your future requirements. We act as his holding pen.
This year our sponsors contributed just under $50,000 which converts to gaining around 80 new members. They are a significant and important income stream to the Club. Imagine what our annual subs would be if we didn’t have sponsors, so please use them if you can.
